Casey Anthony Trial - Day 11 - Outburst Lady Returns/Jury Strikes.

***Refresh page to see newest updates -- blogging as we go.***

Court has resumed. Elizabeth Rogers returns to the podium with her counsel. As you'll recall, she was the lady who had the outburst in court this morning while a juror was being screened. She now (after speaking with counsel) recalls she did NOT take her meds this morning after all. Not only that, she states she didn't eat or drink or even use TP today. She and her attorney ask the judge to reconsider his earlier contempt sentence of 2 days in jail.

After hearing them out, the judge said Ms. Rogers clearly had the ability of forethought -- she knew this was a murder trial, knew it was in that particular courtroom. Again, he states that, but for her psychological disability, he would sentence her to 179 days in county jail. He declines to reduce his earlier sentence of two days in jail. She is remanded to the sheriff and told she has the right to appeal within 30 days.

Another brief recess. Hopefully nothing else will arise before the judge is able to get on with the final jury selection.

Here we go....on with the strikes:

State strikes Juror #3308 (by agreement w/defense, will be placed at end of alternate list).

Defense strikes Juror #1340.

State strikes Alternate Juror #4123.

Defense strikes Alternate Juror #3281.

See next post for a list of the final jury. Court is in recess while jurors are brought to be sworn in.
